Life finds a way... and in this case, the concept of Parkasaurus took it's first breath when the wife of one of the joint creators at WashBear Studio filled a binder full of dinosaur management ideas using colourful construction paper. From there, this dino-management simulator naturally evolved.

Chess has always had a checkmate across my heart, though I've never truly been sold that the concept carries into video games effectively. You either spend your time waiting for an online friend (who's gone off to have a bath between turns) to make a move, or you're playing on a local console, passing a controller around which becomes redundant if you own a physical board - which I do, including travel set... and themed sets... please don't hurt me.

So here we finally have it, a chess-like strategy game that any rookie player can pawn over, Into the Breach lovingly created by Subset Games - the makers of FTL.

July 2018 - Sable

Sable, a coming-of-age game published by Raw Fury that you'd be forgiven for thinking it had sprung directly from the pages of Jean Henri Gaston Giraud's sci-fi graphic novel masterpiece - Moebius. There's not too much that can be said about this title at this time other than it's heading to PC in 2019 and looks visually stunning - definitely one to keep an eye on!

June 2018 - DUSK

Loading up Dusk for the first time reveals a mock screen imitating an old desktop programme booting up, this is one of several touches that gives DUSK its nostalgic charm. As the main menu loads up, players are then presented with an assortment of interchangeable display settings ranging from crosshair customization to how saturated they want it all to look and just by looking at the boxy figure of a sack hooded redneck on screen it becomes clear that this is a return to form 90's FPS fashioned in the same vein as Quake, Doom and Half-Life that caters to die-hard fans of the genre.
